Perception changes over time on the usefulness of language learning strategies

This longitudinal study describes and analyses the shifts in students’ perceptions on usefulness of language learning strategies (LLS) when Spanish as a foreign language, explains roles that these play at various moments time during journey undergraduate level. The richness this investigation lies examination changing perceived over period 3 years by using mixed-method approach. Its main contribution is twofold. On one hand, it offers practical insights within linguistic field acquisition can be applied to languages students with no previous knowledge them. other its design not only goes beyond traditional quantitative approach limited snapshot view, but also captures changes strategy use while providing details why were or used new different proficiency levels. found some initially useful helpful beginning later neutral, useless obstructive same group who had become more proficient language.
